FBO Ramp Management Software

Every arrival, task and departure in view.

Keep aircraft movements and ground-service delivery together. FlightStratix links arrivals, departures, handling requests, assigned tasks, staff and completion status to the same FBO visit record.

The challenge

Stop chasing service status over the radio

When a flight moves early, a fuel task is delayed or equipment becomes unavailable, the desk needs to know what is still open. Give ramp supervisors and customer-service teams one operational board rather than separate task lists.

Capabilities

Built around the way you work

Each capability is part of the connected FlightStratix workspace.

Aircraft movement board

Review expected, on-block, ready, off-block and departed aircraft alongside ETA/ETD, tail, operator and assigned parking.

Service task assignments

Create and assign GPU, lavatory, water, tow, catering, de-icing, fuel and other tasks, with priority, due time and staff allocation.

Record work actually completed

Capture delivered quantity, remarks and exceptions. Keep work visible until it is done or explicitly cancelled.

Connect ramp work to charges

Create service charges against eligible completed tasks and return to the aircraft handling workflow without losing context.

How it works in detail

Ramp coordination from aircraft arrival to completed services

The movement board should tell the ramp team what needs doing, who owns it and what is blocking departure.

Movements organised by operational stage

Track expected aircraft through on-block, in-progress, ready, off-block and departed stages, including diverted and cancelled movements. Highlight overdue and imminent movements to help supervisors prioritise staffing and tasks on a busy apron.

Assignable services, not loose instructions

Turn GPU, marshalling, water, lavatory, towing, catering, cleaning or de-icing into tasks with a named staff member, priority, due time and completion status. Record requested versus actual quantities and explain a partial service where needed.

Equipment and staff readiness

Assign personnel from lists filtered by relevant qualifications. The broader FBO product tracks shifts, training, equipment inspection dates and defects, allowing managers to check available people and ground equipment before a movement needs attention.

Billing comes from delivered work

Service charges can be created from completed tasks using the service catalogue and rate cards. The handling workspace shows task completion gates beside parking, fuel and billing readiness, reducing the need to reconstruct performed work at the finance desk.

Under the hood

Run line service against each aircraft movement

Separate aircraft status from the jobs needed to move it on

The ramp board follows an arrival or departure through expected, on-block, in-progress, ready, off-block and departed states, with cancelled and diverted variants. UTC timing and urgency indicators help staff distinguish an overdue movement from a service that is simply due soon. Each movement includes tail, type, operator, route, stand or hangar and assigned staff. The visit handling workspace holds the higher-level sequence: request, movement, parking, tasks, fuel and billing readiness.

Assign the right work to the right people

Create ramp tasks for marshalling, towing, GPU, ASU, ACU, fuel, water, lavatory, catering, de-icing, cleaning and transport. A task has priority, assigned staff, due time, requested quantity, actual quantity and completion remarks. Candidate staff can be filtered using qualifications where recorded. Teams can use the aircraft-centric view to see all pending work on one tail or the board view to work through TODO, IN_PROGRESS and DONE jobs.

Partial services and exceptions need a record

A service cannot always be completed as originally requested. A task can record actual delivered quantity alongside what was requested, with an exception reason for a partial job. If the movement needs to advance while work remains open, the ramp-board manager override requires a written reason. That makes blockers visible and allows accountable personnel to record an exception.

Tie completion to billable service evidence

A task can be linked to a service rate and converted into a service charge. The application marks a charged task to reduce duplicate billing actions. The FBO service catalogue also records default priority, qualification/equipment requirements, evidence flags and whether completion should block readiness. This means line staff capture operational completion while accounts later retrieves confirmed charges through FBO billing.

Give CSR, ramp and management different useful views

The CSR desk searches by tail, operator or visit reference and shows active arrivals, ground movements and departures. A signed lobby-board display can show movement status without providing access to the internal admin application. Workforce scheduling maintains shifts, role coverage, training, qualifications and incidents; equipment records track service status, inspections and defects.

Operational detail

Coordinate the turn around the movement.

Prepare the tasks before the aircraft arrives

Review the movement, assigned stand and outstanding tasks together. Make the next operational action clear to the ramp team, especially when arrival estimates or service requirements change during a busy shift.

Connect parking and hangar bookings

Carry completed work into station closeout

Completed tasks need to remain connected to the movement they supported. That context helps the station review which services were delivered and which activities still need attention before the billing team takes over.

Real-world scenarios

See it in context

Scenario

Arrival with outstanding GPU and catering

An inbound business jet is on-block. The ramp team completes marshalling and lavatory service, but GPU and catering remain open. The movement's readiness indicators show the blockers, and the CSR desk can answer the customer without calling three colleagues. Once service quantities and confirmations are recorded, eligible tasks can be sent to the charge queue. See parking and hangar management.

Operational example

An operational example

An arriving aircraft needs parking, GPU, lavatory service and catering. The station opens the movement, creates tasks and assigns them across the ramp team. A GPU task is completed, catering remains open and the movement retains a readiness blocker. Once required services are complete, staff review charges generated against the visit.

Records and handoffs

Handling request → movement → assigned ramp tasks → actual quantities → completion → service charges.

Scope

Coordinate ramp tasks and movement records alongside your station procedures. Airside-control decisions, ground-service training and safety management remain operational responsibilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can supervisors see outstanding work by aircraft?

Yes. The Ramp Tasks area offers an aircraft-grouped view and a board view, while the movement record links tasks to the active visit.

What happens if a movement must advance with work open?

A manager override requires a written reason in the documented ramp board workflow.

Can staff see tasks by aircraft?

Yes. The reference includes aircraft-specific tasks and a board view organised by task status.

Does a completed task automatically mean the whole visit is ready?

Not necessarily. Fuel, parking, movements and billing each have their own completion state in the handling workflow.
