FlightStratixvsLeon Software

Leon was built for airlines. You're not an airline.

Leon Software has run flight operations at hundreds of operators since 2002. It's excellent software for airlines, for wide-body fleets, for OCC rooms with dedicated dispatchers.

If you're a 1–10 aircraft operator, a charter company, a trip support company or a flight department you're paying for infrastructure you'll never use, in a system that takes weeks to configure, at a price built for someone ten times your size.

FlightStratix is the flight operations platform for the rest of aviation.

Same industry. Two very different tools.

We won't pretend to be Leon.
You shouldn't pay for Leon if you don't need it.

Choose Leon if
Enterprise · airline-adjacent
You operate 25+ aircraft with a dedicated OCC
You need Avinode, PPS and ForeFlight integrations already wired in
You're an AOC holder flying wide-bodies with airline-style rostering complexity
You have a procurement team, an implementation budget, and time for on-site training in Warsaw
Your ops workflow is close to a scheduled carrier's
Most operators
Choose FlightStratix if
1–10 aircraft · charter · trip support · flight dept
You run 1–10 aircraft, or you're a charter company, a trip support company, or a flight department
You want to move off spreadsheets, WhatsApp and shared inboxes not into another enterprise procurement cycle
You need fuel, ground handling, catering, concierge and permits managed per leg, per departure, per arrival not as ops afterthoughts
You want to know your margin on every service line, not just fly the trip
You want to sign up today and dispatch a trip on Thursday

We built FlightStratix specifically for the aircraft operators, charter companies, trip support companies and flight departments Leon was never designed for. That's not a weakness. That's the whole point.

Leon's pricing was built when aviation software was sold to airlines.
FlightStratix's pricing was built for the operator who signs the invoice.

How Leon prices

Per aircraft. Per user. Per module.

Per aircraft for operators every tail on your certificate is a new line item
Higher tier by MTOW bigger jets cost more even if the workflow is identical
Per-user pricing for anyone outside operator plans every seat is another invoice
Setup and training billed separately hourly online or per-day on-site in Warsaw
Public pricing partially disclosed most conversations still route through sales
How FlightStratix prices

Flat per company. Every user. Every module. Every aircraft.

Flat per company every user on your plan, every aircraft, every module included
Transparent pricing published on our site
No per-aircraft escalation add the next tail without a new invoice
No MTOW surcharge a G650 costs the same to manage as a Phenom 300
Setup and onboarding included no travel to Warsaw, no training retainer
48-hour provisioning you dispatch this week
What the escalation looks like

One price. Every feature. Every user seat. Every aircraft. That's it.

What each platform actually does.

No marketing spin. Every row honest.

These aren't features Leon forgot. They're features Leon never needed.

Because Leon was built for someone else.

01

One-click shift handovers the feature Leon operators still do in WhatsApp

Every operator, trip support team, and dispatch desk lives on shift handovers. Ask any Leon customer how they do it. They'll tell you: WhatsApp, email chains, verbal briefings, a Word doc someone types up at 6 PM.

FlightStratix closes your shift with one click. Auto-pulled activity from your window. 72-hour outlook of what's coming. Urgent items, completed items, carry-forwards grouped, timestamped, branded. Rendered as a PDF the next shift can actually use.

Configurable 8h · 12h · 24h · 48h windows
02

Five service modules per leg, per departure, per arrival

Leon manages the aircraft and the crew. FlightStratix manages everything the aircraft touches when it lands.

Fuel, ground handling, catering, concierge, permits & clearances. Each service tracks its own status, vendor, cost, sell price, margin and document trail. Configured separately at departure and at arrival of every single leg. Catering at JFK can be entirely independent of catering at LFPB.

Leon treats these as ops footnotes. We built our platform around them.
03

Dual-ledger margin per service line

Every service on your trip has two columns: what it cost you and what you sold it for.

Fuel cost vs fuel sell. Handling cost vs handling sell. Every line. Every leg. Every trip. You know your margin at trip, service, vendor and client level. Roll it up. Filter it. Export it.

Leon was built for operators flying their own metal, not operators reselling services with margin.
04

Complete document manager 12+ auto-generated

One trip record → every document your operation needs.

Flight Brief · GenDec · PAX Manifest · Handling Request · Crew Tripsheet · Quote · Charter Agreement · Invoice · Billing Sheet · Flight Order · Trip Report · Fuel Release. All branded. Change the PIC every document regenerates. Change the aircraft every weight and balance recalculates.

The commercial and coordination docs Leon doesn't emphasise
05

Payment link + partial payment tracking

Invoice completes. Send a branded payment link to your client. They open it, they pay, it clears, you get notified.

Track deposits. Track partial payments. Track who paid what and when. Overdue invoices auto-flag with alerts on the notification bell.

Leon closes the trip. FlightStratix closes the trip and gets you paid.
06

Flight change acknowledgement per person, not just an audit log

Leon logs changes to a trip. That's an audit trail.

FlightStratix logs the change and requires each affected crew member and ops desk person to individually acknowledge it before the flight departs. PIC changed at 14:22. FO Singh acknowledged 14:24. FA Chen acknowledged 14:26. Ops desk still pending. Amber indicator until every person ticks their box.

The difference between 'there's a record' and 'everyone knows before wheels-up.'
07

Public embeddable RFQ form

Drop a form on your website. Prospects submit requests. Requests land in your FlightStratix pipeline as draft quotes.

Pre-populated, ready to be priced. Leon expects you to receive requests through Avinode. FlightStratix expects you to be a growing operation building your own pipeline.

Your own pipeline, on your own site

We're going to be direct with you.

Here's what Leon has that we don't.

20+ years of FTL rule library across airline-scale complexity, split-duty, augmented crew scenarios
Native Avinode, PPS and ForeFlight integrations already wired in
Deeper rostering depth for 25+ aircraft fleets
Longer track record with hundreds of operators worldwide
More mature mobile app ecosystem

If any of the above is a hard requirement for your operation, Leon is the right answer. We'll tell you that on the demo call. If those items don't come up in your daily operation and for most 1–10 aircraft operators, charter companies, trip support companies and flight departments they don't then you're paying for capacity you'll never use.

The cheapest software is the one your team actually uses.

A 3-aircraft operator running 40 trips/month with 8 ops staff. Three paths.

Option A

Stay on spreadsheets

Hidden cost: $18k–$52k / year
  • Admin overhead across ops staff
  • Document chaos, version errors
  • Fuel overspend from no comparison
  • Revenue leakage on missed invoicing
Option B

Buy Leon

Per-aircraft × 3 + setup + training
  • Per-aircraft base fee scales with fleet
  • Setup and training billed separately
  • Travel to Warsaw or hourly online sessions
  • 2-week wait before your team dispatches
  • Airline-style workflows you won't use
Best fit
Option C

Buy FlightStratix

Flat per-company price
  • Every module included
  • Every user, every aircraft on your plan
  • Provisioned in 48 hours
  • You dispatch this week

The question isn't which tool costs less. The question is: which tool does your operation actually need, and how fast can you start using it?

Already on Leon? Here's how it works.

Zero setup fee. No implementation retainer. No trip to Warsaw.

01
Export fleet, crew and client data from Leon. We'll help you shape the CSV no data engineering required.
02
We provision your FlightStratix account in 48 hours. Your fleet, your users, your rates pre-loaded and ready.
03
Run both in parallel for 30 days on our free trial. No credit card. Actual side-by-side comparison on live trips.
04
Cancel Leon at month-end if FlightStratix fits. Nothing to unwind. Nothing to migrate back.
05
If it's not the right fit, keep Leon. No hard feelings. We only want customers we're the best tool for.
We only close customers whose operation FlightStratix is genuinely the best fit for. That's not a slogan it's how we've kept the platform focused.

The questions we get every demo.

For most operators under 25 aircraft, yes significantly. We publish our pricing. Leon typically routes through sales. Run the math for your fleet size and users.

If you're running an airline, buy Leon.
If you're running an operation, buy FlightStratix.

Book a 30-minute demo. We'll show you exactly what your team would use on Monday morning. If it's not the right fit, we'll tell you and we'll suggest what is.
